Dedicated to making the town a more pleasant and attractive place to live
Throughout the decades we have collaborated with local leaders, organizations and the community to enhance the appearance of our town. The first street lamps of Wethersfield was organized by WVIA and we continue make Wethersfield - a town rich with history - a beautiful place to be.
Meet our partners:

The Wethersfield Beautification Trust
It was founded in 1996, largely due to the efforts of Sey and Carol Adil, who led a volunteer-driven beautification program. Their vision and the work of volunteers led to the creation of colorful gardens, enhanced walk trails, and other civic projects that continue to improve the town.
Wethersfield Public Schools
WPS demonstrates a commitment to lifelong learning and the use of knowledge and skills beyond the walls of the school. Students participate in our annual Arbor Day Event and create artwork and give presentations to our community.

Founded in 1932, the Society has strived to “preserve and promote Wethersfield’s history and culture to inspire people today and tomorrow” through the present day. The Society is instrumental with our events including our Tree Walks.
Wethersfield, founded in 1633-34, has its niche in history, being "Ye Most Auncient Towne" in Connecticut, as set out by the Code of 1650 - "Colonial Records of Connecticut." Here in May 1781, at the Webb House on Main Street, Washington and Rochambeau planned the battle of Yorktown, which culminated in the independence of the then rebellious colonies.
Over one hundred fifty of our old, beautiful and distinctive Colonial homes stand as a symbol of the rich heritage which has been Wethersfield's since the early days of its founding more than 375 years ago.
